DJ Resolution and Respect Music Campaign Drop New Mixtape “The Remedy 2000”

Honoring 25 Hip-Hop Classics Turning 25

LOS ANGELES, CA – DJ Resolution teamed up with the Respect Music Campaign to release The Remedy 2000, a special edition of the Reversion Series, on February 6, 2025. The mixtape pays tribute to 25 groundbreaking hip-hop albums that first dropped in the year 2000 and now mark their 25th anniversary in 2025.

This release blends tracks from legendary artists whose voices helped shape a generation—featuring everything from Southern anthems to East Coast lyricism, West Coast bangers to underground classics.

“These albums left a lasting mark on hip-hop culture,” says DJ Resolution. “We celebrate their influence while raising awareness about the importance of artists reclaiming their rights.”

The Reversion Series is an ongoing collaboration between DJ Resolution and the Respect Music Campaign, created to raise awareness about music ownership and copyright law. Under U.S. copyright law, artists can begin the process to reclaim ownership of their work 25 years after the original release, with full rights typically returning after 35 years. This legal pathway helps ensure creators can regain control and benefit fairly from their music.

While The Remedy 2000 officially dropped on February 6, 2025, the campaign to raise awareness and support artists’ rights is continuing—making this press release a timely reminder that the fight for fair ownership and respect in the music industry is very much ongoing.

“By celebrating these albums, we’re demanding a fair industry that values and respects the artists behind the music,” adds a spokesperson from Respect Music.

The Remedy 2000is available to stream on DJ Resolution’s website DJResolution.com and is released for educational and awareness purposes only.
